Donald

This week setter Donald had his second vaccination and at the same time we did some blood tests for Leishmania, Ehrlichia and Dirofilaria. Unfortunately, the Leishmania test was positive.

We immediately started treatment and now he gets daily 2 tablets Zylapour (Allopurinol) plus Milteforan. After a month of good food he already has gained some weight and his fur looks better, so the vet has high hopes that the treatment will catch on quickly.

Altogether, the drugs are not cheap, especially Milteforan is very expensive. The total cost will be between € 250 and € 300. That's a big bite out of our budget, and of course we are grateful for every donation, large or small, to cover the costs.
