Female (castrated), born ~ 05-2014, ~ 65 cm, ~ 30 kg good in the car
She came to us after her owner died. She was treated well, but lived on a plot, so she still has to learn a lot about a real home.
Elisa is a very friendly dog, a bit boisterous because of her size, she loves to play. Walking on a lead is still a bit difficult, she has no idea. But in the car she is very quiet and just lies down.
SALOMON
Male (castrated), born ~ 02-2009, ~ 57 cm, ~ 20 kg
This gentle and friendly boy is an older one, but still has plenty of energy. He is good with other dogs and cats, and no problem in the car. During his stay in the house of one of our volunteers he was clean.
Due to his age we don't want him to make a long journey by airplane, so we prefer a home for him on Thassos.
UMA
Female (castrated), born ~ 01-2017, ~ 70 cm, ~ 45 kg
This is a big big girl. She is very gentle and kind to people, but doesn't like cats and is picky when it comes to other dogs. She walks very well on the lead.
Uma needs firm, kind training and will probably become an excellent companion / guard dog.
She will not be homed to a family with cats, other dogs or small children.
VIOLET
Female (castrated), born ~ 03-2019, ~ 15 kg, ~ 50 cm
Violet was found on the streets of Thassos with her siblings in May 2019, only 2 months old.
She is intelligent, and eager to learn. Friendly and good with other dogs. Easy going. Active but not manic.
YACCO
Male (castrated), born 12-2019, ~ 58 cm, ~ 20 kg, house trained
Yacco was supposed to stay with his foster on Thassos. But after a while it turned out that he couldn’t get along with one of the other dogs. After months of trying all sorts of things we sadly had to decide that they had to be separated for the best of both dogs.
Now we urgently search for the right family for Yacco. This must be a family with no other animals or small children. A family with experience with dogs who have the time and patience to guide him into a life where he feels safe and secure.
Yacco is full of energy, loves to play (also on his own with a toy) and likes long walks.
The only thing he doesn’t really like is driving in a car.
CARLOS
Male, born ~ 01-2019, ~ 55 cm, ~ 17kg, pointer
October 2020 this young pointer was found inside the fencing of our HalfWayHouse. No idea how he came in...
He was very skinny and had an eye infection.
Meanwhile he is healthy again and put on weight. He had all his vaccinations and soon will be castrated.
Carlos is a very friendly boy but has a lot of energy.
He needs a family who understands that he needs a lot of exercise.
